1. Process for producing a helical tube from a straight tube (3), which is wound helically over a rotated mandrel (1), the mandrel being constructed to be dismountable and having a helical groove (2) on its cylindrical surface into which the tube (3) is pressed in by means of movable rollers (4, 5) when the mandrel (1) is turned, and the helical tube being withdrawn from the dismantled mandrel, reduced in diameter, characterised in that the rollers (4, 5) are connected to a feed sleeve (12) surrounding the mandrel (1), the sleeve (12) remaining resistant to rotation when the mandrel is rotated and being moved axially.

Ein gerades Rohr wird mit einer Drehvorrichtung wendelförmig über einen Dorn gewickelt. Der Dorn weist an seiner Oberfläche eine Wendelnut auf, in welche das Rohr beim Drehen des Dorns mittels Rollen eingedrückt wird. Die Rollen sind mit einer auf dem Dom drehfest geführten Vorschubhülse verbunden. Der Dorn ist in Segmente zerlegbar ausgebildet, so daß sein Durchmesser reduzierbar ist und das fertig gewendelte Rohr vom Dorn abgenommen werden kann. Die Formgebung kann bei Umgebungstemperatur erfolgen.
