[origin: EP0178903A2] Improved imaging compositions and film are provided that employ a tellurium imaging compound, a reductant precursor, a masked reducing a agent, a source of labile hydrogen and an organic compound that improves the speed, developed optical density and/or background fog. These organic compounds include the following: <CHEM> and <CHEM> where R<1> and R<6> each and independently are hydrogen, alkyl of three carbons or less, hydroxyl, phenyl, benzyl or alkoxy of three carbons or less, R<2>, R<3>, R<4>, R<5>, R<7> and R<8> each and independently are hydrogen, alkyl of three carbon atoms or less, phenyl or benzyl; and compounds of the formulae: <CHEM> where R<9>, R<1><0>, R<1><1> and R<1><2> each and independently are hydrogen, alkyl of three carbon atoms or less, phenyl, benzyl, methylene, ethylidene or propylidene.
