[origin: EP0179385A2] Covering element, provided with longitudinal ribs, for a roof valley, which element consists of two plate-shaped part-elements (1, 1') overlapping one another on one longitudinal edge, and wherein the part-elements (1, 1') each possess in the overlapping region a drainage channel (2, 2'), the cross-sections of which can be inserted into one another. In the covering element, the longitudinal ribs (4) are furthermore sawtooth-shaped, and the drainage channels (2, 2') are of semicircular cross-section so that the part-elements can be fitted to valleys of varying inclination. <IMAGE>
