1. An adapter for a single-base low pressure discharge lamp, the base (6) of which has at least two contact pins (10), wherein the adapter (1) consists of a housing (2, 3) with a customary base (17) for incandescent lamps and provided on the upper side of the housing there are receptacles (9) for the contact pins (10) and in the interior of the housing (2, 3) counter contacts (13, 13') receiving the contact pins (10), characterised in that the housing (2, 3) is in two parts and, moreover, formed on the upper part (2) of the housing, there is a cylindrical receptacle (4) for a spigot of the lamp base (6), and in the interior of the housing there is arranged a mounting plate (11), which at least partially surrounds the receptacle (4) for the spigot (5) and to which the counter contacts (13, 13') are attached.

Der Adapter (1) besteht aus einem zweiteiligen Gehäuse, dessen Unterteil (3) einen für Glühlampen gebräuchlichen Sockel (17) und dessen Oberteil Aufnahmen (4,9) für den Sockel (6) der Niederdruckentladungslampe (7). Innerhalb des Gehäuses (2,3) ist eine ein Vorschaltgerät (12) halternde Montageplatte (11) angeordnet, die die Aufnahme (4) für den Führungszapfen (5) des Sockels (6) mindestens teilweise umgibt. Die die Kontaktstifte (10) des Sockels (6) aufnehmenden Gegenkontakte (13) sind dirckt auf der Montageplatte (11) befestigt und weisen federnde Kontaktfahnen (15) auf, die die Kontaktstifte (10) umschließen. Zur Befestigung der Gegenkontakte (13) auf der Montageplatte (11) sind diese mit Befestigungsfahnen versehen.
