1. Means for controlling the pressure of the cooling circuit of internal combustion engines, in which the expansion volume (110) of a coolant compensating chamber or expansion tank (3) is connected via two excess-pressure valves (112 and 113), a negative-pressure valve (114) and an on-off valve (115) to an overflow connection to and from atmosphere, and in which the on-off valve (115) in its opening and closed position alternately brings the two excess-pressure valves (112 and 113), which are connected in series, into action, a filling and closure cover (122) being disposed on the expansion volume (111), characterised in that the two excess-pressure valves (112 and 113), the negative-pressure valve (114) and the on-off valve, which is in the form of a float valve (115), are disposed on the filling and closure cover (122).

Eine Drucksteuervorrichtung für den Kühlkreis von Brennkraftmaschinen enthält zwei in Reihe geschaltete Überdruckventile und ein in einer Ventilkammer zwischen beiden Überdruckventilen angeordnetes, dem äusseren Überdruckventil parallel geschaltetes Schwimmerventil, das bei übernormalem Ansteigen des Kühlmittel-Niveaus schliesst und die beiden Überdruckventile zum Erhöhen des Überdruckwertes im Kühlkreis hintereinander schaltet.
