Die Erfindung betrifft eine Matratze mit Federkern oder Polsterkern zur Entlastung der schweren Teile des Körpers, wobei der Federkern aus miteinander verbundenen zylindrischen Federn mit einheitlichem Windungsdurchmesser oder doppelkegelförmigen Spiralfedern mit gestuft verändertem Windungsdurchmesser oder Formfedern mit oben und unten einem viereckigen Gitter besteht und oberhalb und unterhalb der Federn je eine Abdeckplatte aufweist. In die Hohlräume der Federn bzw. des Polsterkerns und/oder in die Zwischenräume der Federn sind Profilkörper mit unterschiedlicher Druckwirkung an verschiedenen Stellen der Matratze eingesetzt. Diese Profilkörper weisen gegenüber dem Federkern oder dem Polsterkern bis zur unteren und oberen Abdeckplatte oder nur bis zur oberen Abdeckplatte einen Überstand auf. Ausserdem sind die Federn des Federkerns in einem dem Überstand entsprechenden Abstand von der unteren und oberen oder nur von der oberen Abdeckplatte an den Profilkörpern befestigt.
