Connection between a hollow or semi-hollow section (1) and a main section (2) by means of a connecting piece (3) in the form of a section length, casting or forging piece, introduced into the end of the hollow or semi-hollow section (1) and provided with one or more pins engageable through the wall of the main section, characterised by the fact that within the hollow or semi-hollow section (1) the connecting piece (3) can move only in the longitudinal direction of the section, that it is provided with at least two pins (6) engageable in corresponding holes (14) made in the main section (2) and fixable therein by keying means (8) of any suitable form introduced into holes (7) in the pins (6), whereby the connecting piece may be moved within the section (1) by means of a screw (11) slidable along a longitudinal slot (12), so far backwards as to be situated completely within the section (1) which allows the section (1) to be mounted from any side into a prescribed position between two main sections (2) already in place, and that the connecting piece is provided with a gap filler in form of a plastic sealing furniture introduced into the grooves (17) or of a plate (18) of synthetic material applied to the end face of section (1) so that surface (19) of plate (18) is comprised between the base (16) of the connecting piece (3) and a face of main section (2), the said surface (19) presenting passages for the pins (6) as well as overlaps (23) extending over the end of section (1) and assuming, in addition to the function of sealing the joint, also the function of a noice reduction means when relative movements occur between the sections, the connecting piece being fixed to section (1) by means of the screw (11).
