[origin: WO8500557A1] An insulated damp-proof course comprises a flexible plastics membrane (12), for example of polythene, and a thermal insulating sheet (14) bonded to one side of the membrane (12) by a suitable adhesive. The sheet (14) is formed of an expanded or extruded polystyrene foam and is bonded under pressure to the membrane (12) so as to enable the bonded structure (10) to be rolled upon itself without damage to the material. Such an insulated damp-proof course is extremely advantageous not only for its inherent properties but also the ease with which it can be handled and laid due to the fact that it can be made available in a roll.

Une couche isolante imperméable comprend une membrane en plastique flexible (12), par exemple en polythène, et une couche d'isolation thermique (14) liée sur une face de la membrane (12) par un adhésif approprié. La couche (14) est formée d'une mousse de polysthyrène expansé ou extrudé et est liée sous pression sur la membrane (12) de manière à permettre de rouler sur elle-même la structure liée (10) sans endommager le matériau. Une telle couche isolante imperméable est extrêmement avantageuse non seulement pour ses propriétés inhérentes mais également pour la facilité avec laquelle on peut la manipuler et l'appliquer, compte tenu du fait qu'elle est disponible en rouleau.
