1. Guard vessel for a gas cylinder (2), which is suitable for confining tritium to be stored, and is arranged in an evacuable interior (3) of the guard vessel (1), a measuring cell (20) arranged outside the interior (3) being connected, for the purpose of displaying the maintained vacuum, to the interior (3), and two connections (23, 24) capable of being shut off gas-tight being provided at the guard vessel (1) for vacuum lines or gas lines leading to the interior (3), and a cylinder valve (16) being present at the gas cylinder (2) for charging and discharging the gas cylinder with tritium, characterized in that a device (29, 30) operable from outside is attached at the guard vessel (1) for actuating the cylinder valve (16) located in the interior (3) in order to remove tritium, and in that the device (29, 30) has a vacuum-tight aperture to the cylinder valve (16).

Um bei Gasflaschen zum Speichern von Tritium Undichtigkeiten rasch und mit Sicherheit feststellen zu können, werden die Gasflachen (2) mit einem vakuumdichten Schutzbehälter (1) umgeben. Zur Anzeige des aufrechterhaltenen Vakuums im Innenraum (3) des Schutzbehälters (1) ist mit dem Innenraum eine Meßzelle (20) verbunden. Durch Schutzbehälter (1) und evakuierten Innenraum (3) wird zugleich erreicht, daß aus unerwünschten Leckstellen an der Gasflasche (2) ausströmendes Tritium nicht zugleich verunreinigt wird.
