Abstract (en)
Suit has trouser and torso parts of closed-cell expanded rubber or elastomer with leg end, neck and wrist seals. The trouser top at or slightly above the waist has a thin flexible sealing flange attached to the trouser inner surface below its upper edge to form a marginal flap. The torso lower edge overlaps the trouser upper edge and has a second thin flexible sealing flange for rolling together with the first to form a seal between the parts, the trouser flap overlying the rolled-up flanges. The two parts are pref. lined with nylon or similar fabric and there is a layer of insulation between seals and the user's body. There is pref. a band of foam rubber glued or welded to the trouser part to underlie the seal and provide additional insulation in the region of the kidneys.
