Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0182076A2] 1. Roadway section for rail vehicles and track-guided buses and lorries, with a railway rail member (2, 3, 4), in which the mutual spacing of the rails (4) of the pair of rails corresponds to that of a standard-gauge railway and the pair of rails is supported on sleepers (3) embedded in ballast (2), and with a roadway surface which is essentially flush with the upper edge of the rails, is formed from slabs (6, 7, 8), which are supported on and secured to the sleepers and preferably made of concrete, and is bounded at least at one side by an upwardly projecting guide strip (9) for guiding motor vehicles, characterized in that the roadway surface (6, 7, 8) is arranged eccentrically with respect to the pair of rails (4) and their central axes (5, 12) are laterally staggered at least on straight line sections by an extent such that, in the case of track-guided vehicles with twin tyres (14), both twin tyres on one vehicle side only run on the roadway surface extending from outside to one rail (4) of the pair of rails, whereas the two twin tyres on the other vehicle side run on a roadway surface extending from inside and outside to the other rail (4) of the pair of rails, and that this roadway surface is formed by slabs (6, 8), which are arranged directly adjacent to the outside of the respective rail (4) without a spacing, and by slabs (7), which are only arranged at the inside of one of the two rails (4), while maintaining a minimum spacing for forming a gap (11) which allows this rail (4) to be used by a railway rail vehicle and the covered track member area to be cleaned.
