[origin: EP0182275A2] The invention concerns a device for stirring and homogenizing alimentary mixtures, particularly appropriate to be used in combination with pasteurizers of liquid mixtures for ice-cream. The main object of the invention is to provide a device which does not absorb air into the mixture during stirring. Said object is achieved by means of a stirring device characterized in that it comprises a centrifugal pump capable of sucking the mixture from a container (2; 102) tank and pumping it again into the container itself, said pump having a rotating impeller (6, 7; 106, 107) above the container bottom and covered by an at least partially removable jacket (13; 113).
