Abstract (en)

An apparatus of this type consists of two groups (19, 20), each with three sword-like folding fingers, of which in each case two pairs of folding fingers are movable from above into the bag orifice of a bag conveyed upright, and the third folding finger of each group can be brought into the folding position externally on the associated narrow side of the bag. In order substantially to increase the folding efficiency of the apparatus, the third folding fingers are made pivotable and can be brought out of the folding position into a position of rest, in which they open the way for the further transport of the folded bag and for the feed of the next bag to be folded. <IMAGE>

Abstract (de)

Eine derartige Vorrichtung besteht aus zwei Gruppen (19, 20) mit jeweils drei schwertartigen Faltfingern, von denen jeweils zwei Faltfingerpaare von oben in die Sacköffnung eines stehend angeförderten Sackes bewegbar sind und der dritte Faltfinger jeder Gruppe außen an der zugeordneten Sackschmalseite in Faltposition bringbar ist. Um die Faltleistung der Vorrichtung wesentlich zu erhöhen, sind die dritten Faltfinger schwenkbar ausgebildet und aus der Faltposition in eine Ruheposition bringbar, in der sie den Weg für den Weitertransport des gefalteten Sackes und für den Antransport des nächsten zu faltenden Sackes freigeben.
