Abstract (en)
An electrical protection switch has a fixed and a moving contact piece (12, 14) and an arc-extinguishing laminate stack (17), allocated to the contact point (12, 14), which is arranged between two arc conducting rails (16, 18), one of which carries the fixed contact piece (12). In order to prevent hot arc-extinguishing gases being able to emerge from the protection switch to the exterior, the arc- extinguishing chamber is virtually completely retained in a housing (15). For further cooling of the gases emerging from the extinguishing laminate stack, two flow channels (26, 27) are provided, one of which is arranged between the arc conducting rail (11) which carries the fixed contact piece (12) and the adjacent housing section (21, 22) and the other, second flow channel is arranged between the arc conducting rail (18) and the housing wall (24) adjacent thereto. The extinguishing gas flows through these two flow channels and is thus cooled. <IMAGE>

Ein elektrischer Leitungsschutzschalter besitzt ein festes und ein bewegliches Kontaktstück (12, 14) und ein der Kontaktstelle (12, 14) zugeordnetes Lichtbogenlöschblechpaket (17). Dieses ist zwischen zwei Lichtbogenleitschienen (16, 18) angeordnet, von denen die eine das feste Kontaktstück (12) trägt. Um zu verhindern, daß heiße Lichtbogenlöschgase nach außen aus dem Leitungsschutzschalter heraustreten können, ist die Lichtbogenlöschkammer praktisch vollständig in ein Gehäuse (15) aufgenommen. Zur weiteren Kühlung der aus dem Löschblechpaket austretenden Gase sind zwei Strömungskanäle (26, 27) vorgesehen, von denen der eine Strömungskanal zwischen der Lichtbogenleitschiene (11) die das feste Kontaktstück (12) trägt, und dem benachbarten Gehäuseabschnitt (21, 22) und der andere, zweite Strömungskanal zwischen der Lichtbogenleitschiene (18) und der dieser benachbarten Gehäusewandung (24) angeordnet ist. Durch diese beiden Strömungskanäle strömt das Löschgas und wird so abgekühlt.
