The present invention provides a method for dewaxing hydrocarbon oil characterized by bringing hydrocarbon oil into contact with a catalyst comprising crystalline aluminosilicate prepared by maintaining a gelled reaction mixture consisting of a silica source, an alumina source, an alkali source, water, and an organic compound under hydrothermal synthetic condition with a ratio of composition expressed by molar ratio as follows:wherein R is the above organic compound, and a fluorine compound.
