The interchangeable element to be attached (2) comprises a body (3) made from a synthetic material having a certain resilience. A cylindrical recess (14), opening out on the flanks (13) of the body (3), also communicates with one end of the body (3) via a passage (15). The end of the leg of the pair of compasses (1) is split and has two spaced-apart lugs (5) retaining between them a transverse pin (18), onto which the element to be attached (2) is fastened by a snap-on effect. Means (11) tighten the two lugs (5) in order to obtain, by friction, the braking in rotation of the element (2). Application to the attachment of any writing implements, or their supports, such as propelling pencils or pen holders, and divider points, on pairs of compasses or spring-bow dividers. <IMAGE>

L'élément interchangeable à monter (2) comporte un corps (3) réalisé en une matière synthétique possédant une certaine élasticité. Un évidement cylindrique (14), débouchant sur les flancs (13) du corps (3), communique aussi avec une extrémité du corps (3) par un passage (15). L'extrémité de la branche de compas (1) est fendue et présente deux pattes espacées (5) retenant entre elles un axe transversal (8), sur lequel l'élément à monter (2) vient s'accrocher par effet de clipsage. Des moyens (11) assurent le resserrement des deux pattes (5) pour obtenir, par friction, le freinage en rotation de l'élément (2). Application au montage de tous instruments d'écriture ou de leurs supports, tels que porte-mines et porte-stylos, ainsi que de pointes sèches, sur des compas ou des balustres.
