[origin: WO8600221A1] A bed, particularly a hospital or a nursing home bed, which comprises a sheet (1) arranged between two rollers with two opposite sides or end portions of the sheet each being wound around one of the two rollers, and where a drive means is associated with each of the rollers serving to rotate the single rollers to wind the sheet from one roller to the other particularly as to provide a turning of a person laying on the sheet. To achieve a reduced nursing staff help during leaving and entering the bed the sheet rollers (4) at each of their ends are bearing supported (5, 6) on stanchions (7, 8) which are provided with at least one hinge means (9) enabling a lifting and lowering of the bearing supports (5, 6) by being turned around the hinge means (9). The hinge means (9) may be combined with a slidable locking mechanism comprising a locking brick (16) able to be held in position by means of a gripping or fixation means (12). The single stanchions (7, 8) or both of them may be of the telescopic kind.

Un lit, en particulier un lit d'hôpital ou de clinique, comprend un drap (1) disposé entre deux rouleaux. Deux côtés ou deux extrémités opposés du drap sont enroulés chacun autour d'un rouleau. Un dispositif d'entraînement est associé à chaque rouleau afin de mettre en rotation les rouleau et d'enrouler ainsi le drap en le faisant passer d'un rouleaux à l'autre, en particulier pour tourner une personne couchée sur le drap. Afin de réduire le nombre d'infirmières nécessaires pour aider une personne à se coucher dans le lit et à le quitter, les rouleaux (4) sont soutenus par des supports (5, 6) disposés à leurs deux extrémités sur des étançons (7, 8) pourvus d'au moins une charnière (9), ce qui permet de lever et d'abaisser les supports (5, 6) en les faisant pivoter autour de la charnière (9). La charnière (9) peut être associée à un dispositif coulissant de verrouillage comprenant une barre de verrouillage (16) susceptible d'être maintenue en place par un dispositif d'accrochage ou de fixation (12). Un des étançons (7, 8) ou tous les deux peuvent être de type télescopique.
