1. Protective helmet having a hard external shell (1), a shock-absorbing insert calotte (2) provided with a boss layer (4) of plastic applied to a shock-absorbing calotte body (3), the bosses (5) of said boss layer engaging the external shell (1) point-like and being destroyed when subjected to strong pressure, characterized in that the boss layer (4) consists of such a material that the shock-absorbing effect of the boss layer (4) subject to the strong pressure is only provided by a plastical deformation of the bosses (5).

Abstract (de)

Bei einem Sturzhelm werden die Stoßdämpfungseigenschaften der Einlagekalotte (2), insbesondere einer solchen mit einem Kalottenkörper (3) aus geschäumten Polystryrol dadurch verbessert, daß die Erhebungen (5) der Kalotte durch eine auf den Kalottenkörper (3) aufgelegte Noppenschicht (4) gebildet sind, die aus einem von dem Kalottenkörper (3) unterschiedlichen, unter starker Druckeinwirkung die plastische Verformung der Noppen (5) erlaubenden Material besteht.
