[origin: US4716277A] A large electric hotplate for restaurants and the like is heated by tubular heaters, which are placed in slots on the bottom of a cast hotplate body. An insulation with metal cover plates and a lower plate dish ensures the necessary pressing and thermal insulation. A sensor tube is placed on the outside of the downwardly projecting outer edge of the hotplate body on either side of the hotplate, said sensor tube being connected to a thermostat supplying the tubular heaters by means of several contacts.

Eine elektrische Grobßkochplatte (11) für Gaststätten etc. wird von Rohrheizkörpern (23) beheizt, die in Nuten (21) an der Unterseite eines Gußkochplattenkörpers (12) eingelegt sind. Eine Isolierung mit metallischen Abdeckplatten (28, 30) und einer unteren Blechschale (32) sorgt für Anpressung und thermische Isolierung. An der Außenseite (34) des nach unten weisenden Außenrandes (16) des Kochplattenkörpers (12) is auf jeder Seite der Kochplatte ein Fühlerrohr (35) angeordnet, das mit einem Temperaturregl in Verbindung steht, der über mehrere Kontakte die Rohrheizkörper versorgt.
