[origin: EP0184834A2] The drive shaft (1) of the switching device is connected to the shaft (31) of a cable drum. The drive shaft (1) drives the camshaft (3) of the switching device at different speeds, via a transmission (2). The drive shaft (1), connected to the cable drum, carries a pulse wheel (12) with thirty teeth (13) which are moved through a pulse transmitter (14) of an electronic counter (15), and are thus sampled. The counter (15) passes the counted pulses via a line (28) to an electronic analyser (29) which is provided with an alarm system (30). The electronic counter (15) is inserted in an opening (16) in the transmission housing (22) to which a bearing plate (24) is attached with screws (23). Via two side supports (26), the bearing plate (24) carries a rear bearing bracket (25) in which the camshafts (3 and 4) are mounted. <IMAGE>
