A hinge, preferably a furniture hinge, comprising a hinge bracket (1), which is adapted to be secured to a carrying wall (2) or the like, and a hinge pot (5), which is adapted to be inserted into a recess of the door or flap, wherein said hinge bracket and said hinge pot are provided each with two pivot pins (9, 10, 11, 12) for two links (3, 4) providing an articulated connection therebetween ,and the links consist of metal strips and have curled end portions forming bearing eyes which surround the pivot pins, characterized in that one link (4) is wider than the other (3) and in its bearing eye (15) which is movably mounted in the hinge pot (5) or in its adjacent portion in its intermediate portion, which in the closed position faces the other link (3), is formed with a slot-like recess (18) or with a flat, which has a length that is equal to the width of the other link (3), which in the closed position is centrally supported on the recess (18) or flat.
