A ventilator (2) for gasproof shelter with a filter (46), which may be connected to a connecting element (18) provided on the inlet side of the ventilator in which there is provided in the casing (48) of the filter a room filter part and separate therefrom a bypass line and the filter may be connected if desired by means of the room filter part or by means of the bypass line to an inlet and outlet line provided in the connecting element, in which the filter casing has two adjacent connectors (54, 56 or 58) in each case in two opposite walls (50, 52) one (50) of which is associated with the room filter part and the other (52) of which is associated with the bypass line, said connectors having the same axial spacing as the inlet and outlet connections, in which the connectors (58) associated with the bypass line are in direct connection with each other inside the filter casing and the connectors associated with the room filter part are formed as inlet and outlet of the room filter part, in which two connection openings (28, 30) for one of the pairs of connectors (54, 56 or 58) are arranged on the connection element (18) adjacent each other with an axial spacing which corresponds to that between the inlet and outlet connection of the filter casing, in which one (30) of the connection openings is in connection with an outlet opening (36) of the connection element (18) said opening (36) being in connection with the suction opening of the ventilator and the second (28) is in connection with the connector of the connection element for an inlet air line (42), and in which rapid tensioning means (68) are provided with which the filter casing (48) may be fixed to the connection element (18) so as to be sealed.
