[origin: EP0185297A2] 1. A foundation element beneath a level course (3) for the laying of conduits (4) on subsoil that is of low bearing capacity of soft, characterised in that the foundation element is constituted by a profiled steel sheet (1) protected from rust and corrosion and profiled in the direction in which the conduits extend longitudinally, the edges of which sheet are bent upwards to form a troughlike element which hinders the bedding or levelling gravel (3) of the level course of the conduit from shifting and sinking into the subsoil (2) surrounding the foundation element.
