An adaptor for a rubbish container (1) which can be closed by a pivoting lid and which, on the outside of its reinforced edge of its opening, which is opposite to the pivoting lid hinge, is provided with downwardly open recesses for the coupling engagement of gripping claws of lifting tilting apparatuses, characterised by a profiled sleeve (6) which embraces the rubbish container (1) and which bears against the reinforced edge (2) and which at least partially engages into the recesses, which in the region of its lower edge, beneath the recesses of the rubbish container (1), is provided with at least one pocket-shaped opening (12) which is complementary to the gripping claws of the lifting tilting apparatus to which the rubbish container is to be adapted, and which is provided with means (10) for fixing to the rubbish container.
