1. A two-stage process for the delignification of sulfate pulps produced under alkaline or neutral conditions using oxygen and hydrogen peroxide, characterized in that the pulp is pretreated simultaneously with oxygen and hydrogen peroxide at a pH value of < 5 and then further delignified with oxygen in alkaline medium.

Die Erfindung betrifft die Delignifizierung von Sulfatzellstoffen mit Sauerstoff in alkalischem Medium, der eine Behandlung mit Sauerstoff und Wasserstoffperoxid in saurem Medium vorausgeht. Das Verfahren führt zu Zellstoffen mit geringem Ligningehalt und gleichzeitig befriedigenden Festigkeitswerten.
