Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen Gefechtskopf (10) mit einem Gefechtskopfgehäuse (11) zur Aufnahme einer Hohlladung und einem mit dem Gefechtskopfgehäuse (11) verbundenen Zünder (12). Zur Verbesserung der Splitterwirkung ist das Gefechtskopfgehäuse (11) topfförmig ausgebildet und durch einen Umformprozeß, wie beispielsweise Tiefziehen, aus einer aus Metall bestehenden Ronde hergestellt, in die ein Drahtgeflecht (21) eingewalzt ist.
