Adjustable weir plate (17) for fully encased screw centrifuges, the outer cover (16) of which, located at the liquid outlet end, has a series of discharge openings (15) which are arranged at equal radial spacings from the rotation axis (20) of the casing (11) and are uniformly distributed over the circumference, each of which is covered, in a radially outer region, by a weir plate (17), which are adjustably secured, by means of at least one screw (18) or similar connecting element inserted in a corresponding recess in the plate, in the vicinity of the associated discharge opening (15), in radially different covering positions, and the overflow edges (21, 22) of which, facing the rotation axis (20) of the casing (11), overlapping the associated discharge openings (15), define the associated weir diameter in the particular covering position, which is selected to be equal for all the weir plates (17), characterised by at least one adjusting member (19) rotatably mounted about an axis (24) and acting on a contact surface (25) of the protective plate (17), eccentrically with respect to the axis (24), said adjusting member (19) being adapted for adjusting, as a function of the position of rotation thereof, in the radial direction viewed from the rotation axis (20) of the casing (11), selectively different spacings between the rotation axis (20) and the overflow edge (21, 22) of the protective plate in which said plate (17) can be fixed by means of at least one associated screw (18) or similar connecting element, and in that markings are provided on the adjusting member (19) to show the adjustment positions (0-10).
