A pressing tool (5), having - a lower press plate (19) which is movable in a vertical direction in a shaping ring (18) and the upper side (6) of which forms with the shaping ring (18) a mould for the material being pressed, - an adjusting plate (1) which is arranged beneath the lower press plate (19) and on the upper side (4) of which the lower press plate (19) bears with its underside, and which is adjustable in its inclination with respect to the longitudinal axis L of the pressing tool (5), - a base plate (2) which is arranged beneath the adjusting plate (1) and connected to the adjusting plate (1) by means of screw bolts (16) not fully tightened, and the upper side (29) of which base plate (2) is engaged with the underside (34) of the adjusting plate (1), - an upper press plate (26) cooperating with the lower press plate (19), - and a hydraulic lifting device (3) to raise the adjusting plate (1), characterized in that - there is provided for the adjustment of the inclination of the adjusting plate (1) the hydraulic lifting device (3) arranged in the region (17) of the adjusting plate (1) facing the base plate (2) or in the region (33) of the base plate (2) facing the adjusting plate (1) and this is controlled by means of a master cylinder (8) which is connected with it by way of a hose or pipe (7) and arranged outside the pressing tool (5), and in which there is situated a piston (10) adjustable by means of a setting screw (12) against the pressure of a spring (9) to produce the pressure in the hydraulic lifting device (3), the adjusting plate (1) an base plate (2) being connected by means of two screw bolts (16), and the pressing tool (5) forming part of a hydraulic press (20) in which several pressing tools (5) are arranged in tool tables (13 ; 13a).
