[origin: US4648882A] A carpet cleaning preparation in the form of a dry cleaning preparation in powder form which contains surfactants, organic solvents and zeolite and which is characterized in that the zeolite is in the form of a porous granulate which is unaffected by the mechanical stresses normally encountered during dry cleaning. The zeolite is preferably in the form of a porous granulate containing less than 2% by weight of particles 0.05 mm and smaller in size and less than 5% by weight of particles larger than 2 mm in size.
