[origin: EP0187356A2] The invention relates to a roof element having high air sound insulation characteristics, which is characterised in that it consists of a statically bearing plate element, on which a further plate element of an inorganic substance having high internal insulation characteristics is arranged, which, in turn, carries a plate element of an insulating substance known per se. This plate element of an insulating substance known per se is preferably a foam glass plate element. The plate element of an insulating substance known per se may be coated with a cover layer known per se. The abovementioned plate elements are preferably glued together or connected by mechanical means.
