Actively controlled aircraft undercarriage with a resilient and absorbent cylinder arrangement, the two working spaces of which (4, 5), filled with hydraulic medium, are joined to each other via a throttle (6), and with an air cushion (7), enclosed in one of the two working spaces, the cylinder arrangement having an auxiliary chamber (8) for hydraulic medium, which chamber is separate from the air cushion, and with a servovalve (10) for the feeding or draining of hydraulic medium from a pressure source into the auxiliary chamber as well as a control loop determining the pressure in the auxiliary chamber, characterized in that a sensor (13) is provided for measuring the speed or acceleration of the aircraft, which sensor corrects the servovalve (10) via a compensation network (17) in the sense of an absorption of the oscillatory motions, to be precise both of the rigid body motions of the aircraft and of the higher-frequency oscillatory motions of the elastic aircraft when rolling on the runway.
