[origin: WO8600513A1] A diabetes testing pack comprises a disposable unitary structure of plastics material. The pack has three main areas (A, B and C) where the different phases of a diabetes test can take place. Area (A) is where the skin is punctured by a needle (8) to draw blood. Area (B) is where a drop of blood is deposited on a reagent (14) and the resulting colour change can be compared with a colour chart to determine blood glucose concentration. Area (C) is where the reagent strip can be wiped on a hygenic pad (10). The pack can be folded away in a sterilised wrapping before use and folded away in a hygenic manner for disposal after use.

Un kit de test du diabète comprend une structure unitaire jetable en matériau plastique. Le kit présente trois zones principales (A, B et C) où peuvent avoir lieu les différentes phases d'un test du diabète. La zone (A) est là où la peau est piquée par une aiguille (8) pour effectuer une prise de sang. Dans la zone (B) une gouttelette de sang est déposée sur un réactif (14) et le changement de couleur résultant peut être comparé avec un tableau en couleurs pour déterminer la concentration du glucose dans le sang. Dans la zone (C) la bande de réactif peut être essuyée sur un coussinet hygiénique (10). Le kit peut être replié dans un emballage stérilisé avant l'utilisation et replié de manière hygiènique pour être jeté après l'utilisation.
