[origin: WO8600860A1] An inspection robot (1) moving step by step for inspecting underwater parts of fixed or floating objects, for example ships' hulls, has members, such as suction discs (4), which are alternately releasably fixable on the surface of the object and rotatably mounted on the frame (3) of the robot (1), such that the frame for each step is pivoted a certain distance in one direction about the respective member as a result of a reaction force from a rotating member, preferably a cleaning tool (5), which is mounted on the frame and is adapted to act against the object, and also expose the surface to be inspected, to an inspection camera (13) mounted on the frame.

Un robot d'inspection (1) se déplaçant pas à pas pour inspecter des parties d'objects fixes ou flottant se trouvant sous l'eau, par exemple des coques de bateaux, possède des organes tels que des disques d'aspiration (4) pouvant être fixés de manière libérable sur la surface de l'object et alternativement montés de manière rotative sur le cadre (3) du robot (1) de sorte que le cadre, pour chaque pas, pivote sur une certaine distance dans une direction autour de l'organe respectif suite à une force de réaction appliquée par un organe rotatif, de préférence un outil de nettoyage (5) qui est monté sur le cadre et est adapté pour agir contre l'objet; la surface à inspecter est aussi exposée à une caméra d'inspection (13) montée sur le cadre.
