[origin: WO8600981A1] A laser ranging device (L) is used in association with a reflector (R) to measure the length of pipe sections (10). Access to ends of pipe sections recessed in a stack is obtained by an extender (25a, 25b) attached to the laser ranging device (L) and by an elongated handle (24) attached to the reflector (R).
