Process for producing brushware, such as brushes, paintbrushes, brooms, etc., comprising a bristle carrier and bristle bundles made from a thermoplastic material fixed thereto, in which the ends of the bundle used for fixing are melted and shaped to a solid, bolt-like lug to be connected to the bristle carrier, characterized in that the material needed for the shaping of the lug (5) is made available by following up the bristle bundle in accordance with the melting advance and that simultaneously or subsequently onto the bolt is shaped a contour (6) used for the detachable fixing to the bristle carrier (10) and that a corresponding contour (19, 14) is provided on or in connection with the bristle carrier (10).

Bürstenwaren, wie Bürsten, Pinsel, Besen oder dgl., die aus einem Borstenträger und daran befestigten Borstenbündeln aus thermoplastischem Kunststoff bestehen, werden dadurch hergestellt, daß die Enden von Borstenbündeln aufgeschmolzen und zu einem massiven balzenförmigen Ansatz umgeformt werden, an dem ferner eine der vorzugsweisen lösbaren Befestigung des Borstenbündels am Borstenträger dienende Kontur angeformt wird, während an oder in Verbindung mit dem Borstenträger eine korrespondierende Kontur zur vorzugsweise lösbaren Befestigung des Borstenbündels vorgesehen wird. Dadurch ist es möglich, Borstenbündel in einfacher Weise am Borstenträger zu montieren und bei Verschleiß od.dgl. gegen neue Borstenbündel auszuwechseln.
