[origin: WO8600649A1] In order to improve the colour effect of titanium nitride layers prepared according to plasma coating methods with the use of a process gas comprised of rare gas and nitrogen, carbon is introduced in the reaction chamber between a target and a substrate to be coated. Alternatively, hydrocarbons are directed to this effect into the reaction chamber. In another embodiment, a target of titanium carbide is used.

Pour améliorer l'effet de couleur de couches de nitrure de titane préparées selon des procédés d'enduction à l'aide d'un plasma avec l'utilisation d'un gaz de procédé formé d'un gaz rare et d'azote, on introduit du carbone dans la chambre de réaction entre une cible et un substrat à enduire. Selon une variante, des hydrocarbures sont dirigés à cet effet dans la chambre de réaction. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, on utilise une cible à base de carbure de titane.
