[origin: WO8601128A1] Device for adjusting the milling gap in roll mills comprising two rolls (41, 42) in a housing, of which one is a movable shaft rotary roll (42). The roll mill further comprises adjusting elements (7-9, 11) as well as a device for automatically adjusting the milling gap by means of a remote-controlled motor (19) which is connected to the adjusting elements (7-9, 11) by an interconnection coupling (20). The adjusting elements (7-9, 11) form an independent unit which is arranged sideways with respect to the rolls (41, 42) and having an adjusting part (9) with a lever ratio characterized by a longer lever arm and a shorter lever arm. Furthermore, the drive motor (19) and the coupling (20) form a second independent unit (2) situated at a certain distance from the first unit (1), and the adjusting forces derived from the drive motor (19) are applied to the longer lever arm (9') of the adjusting part (9). The adjusting elements (7-9, 11) are also provided with a manual adjusting device (8, 16).
