1. A support material in the form of plates, sheets or webs for offset printing plates, composed of aluminum, which may have been pretreated, or its alloys, carrying on at least one side a hydrophilic coating of a phosphonic acid compound, wherein the hydrophilic coating comprises a) a polymer of acrylamidoisobutylenephosphonic acid or b) a copolymer of acrylamide and acrylamidoisobutylenephosphonic acid or c) a salt of a) or b) with an at least divalent metal cation.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Trägermaterial auf der Basis von Aluminium, das eine hydrophile Beschichtung trägt, die aus einem Polymerisat aus Acrylamidoisobutylenphosphonsäure, einem Copolymerisat aus dieser Säure mit Acrylamid oder Salzen der Polymeren mit einem mindestens zweiwertigen Metallkation besteht. Das hydrophilierte Material dient als Träger für lichtempfindliche Substanzen zur Herstellung von Druckplatten.
