Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0190757A2] In sterile bag-in-box filling and emptying systems for the storage, transportation and removal, even in stages, of liquids, such as pasteurised fruit beverages and the like, there is a risk of reinfection, with the result that not only the stored liquids frequently perish, but also the contents of the fruit yoghurt pots filled in relatively large quantities with said liquids. Additionally, great investment costs have to be raised for the equipment and high costs for cleaning and maintenance are incurred with each new filling of the current plants. In order to achieve greater safety from reinfection and to reduce the costs both for procurement and for current operation, the plastic bag (1) is hermetically sealed and produced in a sterile manner, and inserted into the valve unit (2), the opening of said bag having a circular sealing ring (3), the inside surface of which is provided with a sealing skin (4) which is removed when it is destroyed by the incoming liquid.
