[origin: US4708507A] A dispenser for shoe polish is disclosed comprising a cylindrical housing having a closed end and an open end. An applicator is mounted on the closed end and a manually-movable piston is mounted within the housing. The interior of the housing between the piston and the closed end constitutes a material-receiving space, the length of which is substantially equal to the length of the piston. The peripheral wall of the housing includes an axial finger-receiving slot extending inwardly from the open end of the housing for a distance slightly less than the length of the piston.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Spender, insbesondere zur Ausgabe von Schuhcreme, und schlägt zur optimalen Handhabung vor, daß ein handbetätigbar verschieblicher Kolben (2) eines Zylindergehäuses (1) verbessert zugänglich ist zufolge eines von der rückseitigen Öffnung (Ö) ausgehenden Längsschlitzes (4) in der Zylindergehäusewand (W).
