An arresting device for at least one sole clamp (1) of a safety ski binding, said sole clamp being pivotally connected to a ski binding component (11), the pivotal movement of said sole clamp (1) being controlled by a control rod (2) hingedly connected thereto, characterized in that the end portion (3) of said control rod (2) facing away from said sole clamp (1) is guided in a control slot (4) with the aid of an adapted member (10), said control slot (4) being formed in said ski binding component (11) and having a crank-shaped configuration over its length defined by a lower and an upper guide surface (6 and 7, respectively), and in that in the riding position said adapter member (10) is retained in a locked state by a pawl-shaped locking member (5) pivotally mounted on said ski binding component (11), said locking member (5) extending into said control slot (4) between said adapted member (10) and said upper guide surface (7) to thereby lock said adapted member (10) at the crank section of said control slot (4).
