1. Fitting for windows, doors or the like with a handle (12) which can be turned by means of its stepped neck (14) in a bearing bushing (8, 8", 8"') of a screw-on plate (1), whereby the bearing bushing passes through a collar (7, 7') of the screw-on plate which is bent inwards and a safety ring (16, 28, 33) which can be connected to the neck (14) in a formclosed manner is supported, for the axial securing of the handle (12) on the bearing bushing, on a surface of the bearing bushing (8, 8", 8"') which points inwards, characterised in that the safety ring (16, 28) is also supported at the end edge of the collar (7, 7') of the screw-on plate (1), whereby the safety ring (16, 28) is provided with a radial push-in opening (19), the slit width of which corresponds approximately to the diameter (b) of an annular groove (15) of the neck (14) of the handle (12) or in that the safety ring (33) which is also supported at the end edge of the collar (7') if the screw-on plate forms the outer rig of a ball beading (3'), the inner ring (35) of which is held axially by a beading (36) at the free end of the neck (14).

Damit bei einer Griffhandhabe die wirkenden Betätigungskräfte von einer relativ großen Zone aufgenommen werden können, was zu einem verminderten Verschleiß führt, wird vorgeschlagen, daß bei einem gattungsgemäßen Beschlag die Lagerbüchse (8, 8",8‴) von einem einwärts abgewinkelten Kragen (7, 7') der Anschraubplafle (1) gefaßt wird. Zur Sicherung der Griffhandhabe (12) in der Lagerbüchse (8) dient ein Sicherungsring (16), der sich vorteilhafterweise an der Innenfläche der Anschraubplatte (1) abstützt. Die Lagerung kann durch Verwendung eines Stützring-Kragens (22) noch verbessert werden. Zwischen diesen und den Endabschnitt (14') des Halses (14) der Handhabe (12) kann man noch ein Kugellager (27) einsetzen.
