Method of tensioning a printing plate on a cylinder, tensioning device and printing plate for same, where a device capable of reducing the circumference of the printing cylinder is used with a printing plate having integrally formed recesses at its ends in order to enable an interlocking join between those ends after wrapping the plate round the cylinder, where the cylinder possesses a magnetic holding device provided at a suitable position on the cylinder outer surface and, conforming to the magnetic holding device, the ends of the printing plate which are to be joined together come to lie on the cylinder outer surface, and the cylinder has a longitudinal recess with a tensioning device consisting of a radially movable element, the outer face of which possesses a curvature matching the curvature of the cylinder outer surface. <IMAGE>

Verfahren zum Aufspannen einer Druckplatte auf einem Druckzylinder, entsprechende Spannvorrichtung, sowie dazugehoerige Druckplatte, wobei eine Vorrichtung Verwendung findet, die geeignet ist, den Umfang des Druckzylinders zu verkleinern und unter Verwendung einer Druckplatte, die an ihren Enden angeformte Ausnehmungen aufweist, um eine formschluessige Verbindung der Plattenenden nach Aufwickeln der Platte auf dem Zylinder zu ermoeglichen, wobei der Zylinder eine magnetische Halteeinrichtung aufweist, die an geeigneter Stelle des Zylindermantels vorgesehen ist und in Uebereinstimmung mit der magnetischen Haltevorrichtung die zu verbindenden Enden der Druckplatte auf dem Zylindermantel zu liegen kommen, und der Zylinder eine Laengsausnehmung mit einer Spannvorrichtung aufweist, die aus einem radial beweglichen Bauteil besteht, dessen aeussere Flaeche eine Woelbung aufweist, die der Woelbung des Zylindermantels entspricht.
