[origin: EP0193689A1] Prefabricated framework for the construction of walls, particularly partitions or walls comprising, on the one hand, a plurality of uprights (2) parallel to one another and to each of which arms (21) are articulated, and, on the other hand, a top rail (3) and a bottom rail (4) to which are connected the ends of the said uprights. This framework is characterised in that to each of the said uprights (2) is articulated at least one arm (21) at its top part and at least one arm (21) at its lower part, the length of the said arms being less than the spacing D between these two consecutive uprights and the respective points of articulation (22) being set back relative to the top and bottom ends of the upright, and in that the free end of each upper arm (21) and the free end of each lower arm (21) are respectively connected to the top rail (3) and to the bottom rail (4) at points (23, 24) disposed between two consecutive uprights (2). This arrangement of the arms (21) makes it possible to envisage a module as a rigid frame encased at the feet and at the head. These crossbraced frames are self-stabilising. <IMAGE>
