[origin: US4687557A] A galvanic bath for the electrolytic deposit of gold-based alloys contains a cyanide complex of gold, a cyanide complex of copper, a cyanide complex of cadmium and a cyanide complex of zinc, and at least one complexing agent and one surface-active agent, as well as, if desired, a depolarizing agent and/or an inorganic or organic brightening agent. This bath functions in the presence or in the absence of free cyanide.

Ces alliages à base d'or, utilisables notamment pour le revêtement d'articles décoratifs, contiennent par exemple de 65 à 80 % en poids d'or, 10 à 25 % en poids de cuivre, 7 à 10 % en poids de cadmium et 0,2 à 0,6 % en poids de zinc. Un bain galvanique pour le dépôt électrolytique de ces alliages contient un complexe cyanuré d'or, un complexe cyanuré de cuivre, un complexe cyanuré de cadmium et un complexe cyanuré de zinc, et au moins un agent complexant et un agent tensio-actif, ainsi qu'éventuellement un agent dépolarisant et/ou un brillanteur inorganique ou organique. Ce bain fonctionne en présence ou en absence de cyanure libre.
