Abstract (en)

The invention relates to a foldable articulated cloth, without permanent fold, and a blind manufactured with this cloth. The articulated cloth of the present invention is continuously manufactured by weaving warp threads and weft threads made from any materials, such as textile fibres or metallic threads. In its structure, the articulated cloth has at least one longitudinal zone of weakness forming a preferred folding line. The creation of a preferred folding line (2) is obtained by a local modification of the weave of the cloth in the warp direction (3) of the latter. In particular, local elimination (2) of warp threads (3) makes it possible to create a zone of weakness which forms the folding line. The invention will be most particularly applicable to the industry of textile weaving, especially for the manufacture of blinds. <IMAGE>

Abstract (fr)

L'invention est relative à un tissu articulé repliable, sans pli permanent, ainsi qu'un store confectionné avec le dit tissu. Le tissu articulé de la présente invention est confectionné en continu par tissage de fils de chaîne et de fils de trame réalisés dans des matériaux quelconques tels que fibres textiles ou fils métalliques. Dans sa structure, le tissu articulé présente au moins une zone longitudinale de faiblesse qui constitue un axe de plage privilégié. Selon l'invention, la création d'un axe (2) de pliage privilégié est obtenu par une modification locale de l'armure du tissu selon l'axe de chaîne (3) de ce dernier. En particulier, la suppression locale (2) de pose de fils de chaîne (3) permet de créer une zone de faiblesse qui constitue l'axe de pliage. L'invention trouvera tout particulièrement son application dans l'industrie du tissage textile notamment pour la confection de stores.
