To produce lead anodes economically and with a reduced amount of silver, a billet made from high-grade lead is plated with a lead foil containing 1 to 0.45 per cent by weight of silver in a rolling operation, the thickness of the plating being between 200 and 100 micrometres in the final state, that is to say on reaching the thickness of the finished anode. <IMAGE>

Um Bleianoden für Zinkelektrolysen wirtschaftlich und mit verringerter Silbermenge herzustellen, sieht das Verfahren vor, daß in einem Walzvorgang eine aus Feinblei hergestellte Platine mit einer Bleifolie mit einem Silbergehalt von 1 bis 0,45 Gewichtsprozent plattiert wird, wobei die Dicke der Plattierung im Endzustand, also bei Erreichen der Dicke der fertigen Anode, zwischen 200 und 100 Mikron beträgt.
