Frame profile for a gate or door leaf or similar building entrance having a filling, preferably a wood filling, more particularly for swing doors, having a girder profile (1) consisting of a sheet metal strip (2) which is so deformed that its two longitudinal side edge areas are held together in a parallel position to form a web (7) which is arranged to act as a holder for the filling and which has openings (5, 6) passing through the two longitudinal side areas (3, 4) to receive fixings for securing the filling, characterised in that the openings (6) in one longitudinal side edge area (4) are larger than those (5) in the other longitudinal side area (3), so that the internal width of each of the smaller openings (5) in the web (7) of the girder profile (1) is within the range of opening of the correspondingly arranged larger opening (6).
