The thread and profile rolling machine described has a column-type machine frame and at least two roll supports arranged on an approximately vertically extending side wall and movable relative to one another by means of adjusting devices and having rolling tools to which are allocated feed devices for the workpiece. The roll supports are here designed as carriage guides which are guided on supporting pillars which extend horizontally and parallel to the side wall and form a constructional unit and are supported by yoke plates projecting freely from the upper region of the side wall. This region of the side wall can be part of a carriage movable transversely to the supporting pillars. This configuration has the advantage that the supporting-pillar arrangement is exchangeable and offers a substantial degree of freedom for the use and arrangement of working tools but that sufficient space remains, particularly below the rolling tools, for the arrangement of manually operable or automatic additional devices. It is also advantageous that the supporting-pillar constructional unit can be adapted to different workpieces or workpiece parts, guided, for example, on a predetermined transport device, by displacement. <IMAGE>

Es wird eine Profil- und Gewindewalzmaschine beschrieben, mit einem Maschinengestell in Ständerausführung und mit mindestens zwei an einer etwa vertikal verlaufenden Seitenwand angeordneten und durch Verstelleinrichtungen gegeneinander bewegbaren Walzenträgern mit Walzwerkzeugen, denen Zuführeinrichtungen für das Werkstück zugeordnet sind. Die Walzenträger sind dabei als Schlittenführungen ausgebildet, die an horizontal und parallel zu der Seitenwand verlaufenden Tragsäulen geführt sind, welche eine Baueinheit bilden und von frei vom oberen Bereich der Seitenwand abkragenden Jochplatten getragen sind. Dieser Bereich der Seitenwand kann Teil eines quer zu den Tragsäulen verfahrbaren Schlittens sein. Diese Ausgestaltung weist den Vorteil auf, daß die Tragsäulenan- ordnung auswechselbar ist und weitgehend Freiheit für den Einsatz und die Anordnung von Bearbeitungswerkzeugen bietet, daß dennoch aber, insbesondere unterhalb der Walzwerkzeuge, ausreichend Platz für die Anordnung von manuell bedienbaren oder automatischen Zusatzgeraten verbleibt. Vorteilhaft ist es auch, daß die Tragsäulenbaueinheit durch Verschieben an verschiedene Werkstücke oder Werkstückteile anpaßbar ist, die z.B. auf einer vorgegebenen Transporteinrichtung geführt sind.
