In einer Vorrichtung zum Nach-, Aus- und Abschneiden insbesondere von unmittelbar vorher geklebten Tapeten jeglicher Art sind ein Auf- und Abwärtsbewegungen ausfuhrendes Messer (41) sowie ein feststehendes, federnd anliegendes Messer (44) mit speziell ausgebildeten Schneiden in einem mehrteiligen Gehäuse untergebracht. Ferner sind bei dieser Tapetenschneidvorrichtung die aus dem Gehäuse vor stehenden beiden Messer (41, 44) in der Ruhestellung durch einen mit einem Auslöseteil verbundenen Abdeckteil (55) wirksam und sicher geschützt und abgedeckt. Zum Auswechseln abgenutzter oder verbrauchter Teile, wie Messer (41, 44) oder Batterein (7), können die Gehäuseteile der leicht und problemlos zu handhabenden Tapeten schneideinrichtung ohne Zuhilfenahme eines Werkzeugs voneinander getrennt werden.
